Scholarships, Grants & Awards

Villanova University's Programs

Villanova University has a comprehensive scholarship program. Each year our program awards scholarships to a number of deserving students. Recipients of three University-sponsored scholarship programs are monitored by the Center for Access, Success and Achievement:

  • Presidential Scholarships
  • Representation Matters Scholarship

The Presidential Scholarships

In partnership with the Presidential Scholars Program, the Center for Access, Success and Achievement offers resources, counseling and support for recipients of the Presidential Scholarship, the University’s premier full scholarship program. Please visit the Center for Research and Fellowships website for more information regarding the Presidential Scholarship.

Representation Matters Scholarship

This scholarship will be awarded to students who have demonstrated sustained achievement in academic, social and/or professional activities, and who exemplify or advance the representation of individuals from communities historically underrepresented in the University including, but not limited to: race, gender, ethnicity and/or socioeconomic status. These award recipients serve as role models of achievement through their own personal efforts, or through their work in supporting minoritized communities, and embody the principle that dreams can become real, concrete, and achievable for underrepresented individuals that persevere or come after them.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Demonstrated financial need (requires verification by Office of Financial Assistance, must be $15,000 or less)
  • Undergraduate or first year graduate student status
  • Statement or essay discussing achievements, outlining particular challenges encountered, and what you did to persevere and achieve. Must include information or data about how your activities support underrepresented populations in your area of achievement.
  • Future goals

Applications will be reviewed by and voted upon by the full Representation Matters Scholarship committee. Any ties will be decided by the Chairperson of the committee.

Up to two scholarships will be awarded per academic year. This is a one-time award per individual.

This scholarship is open to all eligible students without any preference or restriction based on race, ethnicity or sex.

If you have any questions, or if you would like to make a direct contribution to the scholarship fund, please contact Linda Coleman in the CASA by phone (610- 519-4074) or email.
