The Office of Research Administration (ORA) at Villanova University provides service to faculty, staff, and students while protecting the institution in sponsored programs, technology transfer, and research compliance.
ORA Recognizes the PI of the Month
Each month, ORA recognizes a Principal Investigator (“PI”) who contributed positively to the administration of research at Villanova, including both grants administration and research compliance. PIs are nominated for: being proactive, improving processes, collaborating effectively, and demonstrating concern for quality. Recipients receive a small gift from ORA, and recognition to the Chair and Dean of their department/college.
For October 2017 ORA recognizes Dr. Robert Traver, Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering
Dr. Traver, was a helpful and thoughtful collaborator with ORA during the complex process of negotiating a new, substantial research agreement with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, as well as the related subaward agreement. His careful reading of the agreements, timely responses to inquiries, and facilitating of interactions with the Commonwealth and the subawardee helped expedite the execution of both contracts.
Many thanks to Dr. Traver, and to the rest of the nominees for this month, for your positive contributions to Villanova!
