Villanova University Announces the Election of Three New Members to its Board of Trustees

Enrico S. Gaglioti, Arthur A. Metzler and Kate K. Waters join the University’s Board of Trustees

Villanova University today announced the appointment of three new members to its Board of Trustees

VILLANOVA, Pa. (January 16, 2024) – Villanova University today announced the appointment of three new members to its Board of Trustees. Enrico S. Gaglioti, Co-President of FS Investments; Arthur A. Metzler, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of AMA Group; and Kate K. Waters, Senior Partner, Executive Director and Financial Advisor of The BTW Group within Morgan Stanley’s Private Wealth Management division, joined the 38-member Board effective Jan. 1.

“I am extremely pleased to welcome Enrico, Art and Kate—all leaders in their professional roles—to the Villanova University Board of Trustees,” said Villanova University President the Rev. Peter M. Donohue, OSA, PhD. “We have ambitious plans for the future of Villanova, and I look forward to working closely with all of our newest and current trustees to realize our vision for the University.”

NEW MEMBERS, BOARD OF TRUSTEES

Enrico S. Gaglioti is the Co-President of FS Investments in Philadelphia Pa., an alternative investment manager with approximately $75 billion in assets under management. Gaglioti serves on FS Investments’ Management Committee and Executive Committee. Prior to joining FS Investments, he was Co-Founder and CEO of Chiron Investment Management, LLC, and a Founding Member of GPS Investment Partners. Gaglioti has more than 30 years’ experience in the financial services industry. He began his career at Solomon Brothers and spent a majority of his career as a Partner at Goldman Sachs where he held various senior leadership positions over his 18 years at the firm. Prior to being elected to Villanova’s Board of Trustees, he was a member of the Provost Board.

Gaglioti is Chairman of the Board of Trustees at Don Bosco Prep High School and is a member of the Board of the James Madison University Foundation. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from James Madison University in 1994. Gaglioti and his wife, Danielle ’94 CLAS, reside in Ridgewood, N.J., and are the parents of four children, including a son Nicholas ’27 VSB, currently attending Villanova.  

Arthur Metzler ’86 COE is Founder and CEO of AMA Group, a 300+ person engineering, construction management and manufacturing company headquartered in New York City with offices in Madison, N.J., Union, N.J., Los Angeles, Calif., and Miami, Fla.  The firm provides services and goods to all aspects of the built environment, developing an expansive specialty for high-tech media, production and sound stage facilities—a portfolio which includes NFL Media, NBCU Sports, WWE HQ, Telemundo, Univision, CNBC, CNN/HBO Studios, Fox News Studios, Spotify, Tik Tok, MLB Offices with Replay Center, NBA Offices with Replay Center, Brokaw News Center, Tonight Show Studios, Netflix Stages and Steiner Studios.

Metzler graduated from Villanova in 1986 with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and earned a JD from New York Law School in 1994. Prior to being elected to the Board of Trustees, Metzler served on several Villanova College of Engineering Advisory Councils. Metzler and his wife, Laura, reside in Franklin Lakes, N.J. and have four children, including current Villanova students Arthur ’24 VSB and Ella ’26 CLAS.

Kate K. Waters (née Bader) ’98 CLAS is a Senior Partner, Executive Director and Financial Advisor of the BTW Group within Morgan Stanley’s Private Wealth Management division, where she has worked since 2000. In addition to helping her clients, Waters previously served as Co-Chair of Morgan Stanley’s National Financial Advisor Advisory Council for over five years and was a co-founder and on the Board of Directors for LIFT, Morgan Stanley’s Women’s Business Development Council. Waters was previously a member of the Board of Directors for Concern Worldwide (US) and the Women’s Executive Circle of NY (WECNY.)

Prior to being elected to Villanova University’s Board of Trustees, Waters was a member of the Advisory Council for Villanova’s McNulty Institute for Women’s Leadership and the Board of Directors for the Villanova Financial Club, where she is currently the vice president. She is a past recipient of the Villanova University Alumni Association (VUAA) Distinguished Service Award. Waters earned a Bachelor of Arts in English with a Business minor from Villanova in 1998 and holds an International Accreditation from the University of London. She and her husband, Timothy ’98 CLAS, split their time between New York City and Stratton, Vt., along with their three children.
